    Hello everyone,
My name is Logan Benedict, I have kept amphibians my entire life but only really started diving into the hobby around 2007. Right now I keep 1.1 D.azureus, 1.1 D.leucomelas, 1.0.2 P.vittatus, 0.0.4 Cynops ensicauda popei, 2.3 Mantella pulchra, and also non amphibians 1.2 R.ciliatus. I have worked as a zookeeper in the past and now I am currently back at school at SIUC. I work in the chytrid research lab there. Right now I do tons of histology but as the season gets warmer I will be doing more and more field work (swabbing/mark recapture). I also may be able to set up a display viv on my desk at the herp lab. I have been wanting to get into reeds and this may be my chance to do so. Anyway thats me glad to be here!

Logan, great to have you on Frog Forum, and wonderful frog collection you have there. I have been writing and reading about chytrid for the past weeks as I am getting a trio of WC Atelopus spumarius hoogmoedi next week. They have already been treated as a prevention for chytrid using Lamasil AT, but it's been very enlightening reading I must say. I'm sure some of us will be very happy to read more by you.

Oh, and if you could add your location, it would be very helpful!

Thanks for the greeting, location fixed. I live in the southern end of Illinois. Not many froggers down here but there are a few of us. I use to live in St. Louis area and there were some good frog people there too. Once again glad to be here.

Beautiful Mantella, Logan. How old is it? Male or female, or do you own a few?

its is a group of 2.3 and the two pictured are males. They are more bold. The females hide most of the time and look like blimps right now. Should see eggs soon I hope.
