So apparently one of my female RETFs is a bit.....promiscuous. The males have been calling pretty much since day 1 so made nothing of it. However, the last 2-3 days I've noticed one of my frogs was FAT. Like worried it was impacted and had a swelling belly from still eating type of fat. Woke up this morning and I saw "her" and another frog sleeping together (in both ways?). Now, as the lights go out tonight, she is having to carry her little hitch hiker all over. Is this a good sign? It seems like it would be.
Should I remove the eggs/tads or let them fall into the water area? The tank is a paludarium so there is actually about a 12g aquarium beneath them that has a few cherry barbs and a betta in it. That would SEEM to be an ideal little habitat for them with plenty of areas to climb out from and lots of plants to hide in.
Here is the thread I made for the tank if you need a better idea: http://www.frogforum.net/tree-frogs/...aludarium.html
i would think the fish may go after the tads. i'd rather raise them in a different enviroment just to keep tabs on them and keep a close eye on their devolopment.
I would take them out, bettas tend to be aggresive and the fish may eat the tadpoles food
