well, puffy around his jaw sounds like what Opal had in reaction to his plant. What tree does he have? If it's a schefferlla (umbrella plant) it's toxic. Maybe a run down of what's in the tank.

The plants/vines are not real but made from a safe non-toxic natural silk so the box said that they came in...Alfonso's had them in there since August(washed occasionally in treated water)) the Substrate is exo-terra tropical from coconut plant. There is a log and branches from a jacaranda tree (again, been in with him since last august). It really looks like the swelling is some form of odema...the fluid seems to pool in his body in relation to how he is sitting. ( thighs and bum/lower back when vertical, jaw and tummy when horizontal) . Alfoso is still hunting and eating and did a nice big poop yesterday( Funny how exciting pooping can be..)
The swelling is not getting bigger which is good?

it's not bigger. That's good. Eating and pooping are also good. Could he be a little over weight? Usually edema makes them lethargic. But it could be the start of an infection. If you want to see pictures of infection, go look in Kisa's album at Bruce cambels leg.
