I got a question about fecal exams. Anyone know any other methods of doing fecal exam? :S or can anyone "dumb" it down what's said on here?

I could only understood so much of it. The rest is just(either too much information to take in at once or just don't understand it), so can anyone explain a layman's term on how to do one? I'm going to get an electronic microscope and I wanna know how to do this before then.

I too am venturing into fecals. I am waiting for poo. I'll post again in the next few days after I get it done. But basics--
Make solution, add water to poo, about a teaspoon if you can. Keep them in plastic bag to kjep moist, dry ones are no good. Add water, mash, and filter through gauze. The water/poo left-- add to tube(1/2) full, other 1/2 is solution. Put your slide on top for 15 minutes. Add your cover. Scan quick on 10x fir large parisites(adult) and mark on paper. Switch to 40 and look for eggs.
