Watching FrogTV because it is better when someone else has to maintain the enclosure!
Finally, I have something to submit! So without further ado (whatever ado is) I give you the red-banded rubber frog.
I borrowed a camera. I don't know of any frog that is black with red-eyes. I know a snake like that, but no frogs. Here's what the red-banded rubber frogs look like from a different angle.
Centrolene ilex

Nice picture! Are glass frogs available in the pet trade?
True glass frogs like Centrolene ilex? No, not really. There are a few Hylids that are sold under the name glass frogs but they are not realy true glass frogs. Not even close.
I saw some glass frogs at Black Jungle last June, they are truly translucent. The species I saw was Hyalinobatrachium valerioi. They weren't for sale, they were attempting to breed them for the Atlanta Botanical Gardens.
Thanks a lot Alex. Not I have to vote for your pic instead of my own.
Wow Alex, Amaizing..The eyes are amaizing. Is this your frog? Your photography is awesome.![]()
Alex took that picture in Costa Rica.
I've really pulled out all the stops. Like Kurt said, this was taken in Costa Rica, i'm not sure if there are many, if any, Centrolene ilex in captivity.
