I am mom to four kids. My kids are 5, 4, 2 and 1. The three oldest fell in love with frogs when we got our 5 year old a Whites Dumpy Tree frog for her birthday. We have an exotrra terranium and he seems ok but doesnt move alot. We think this is do to the fact he doesnt have a light to help with regulating the temp and humidity yet in his cage. I was also wondering does he need a lot of water in his cage or no? I hope we got him from petsmart and I would really hate something to happen to him he is thier favorite animal.
We are also getting a tadpole for a backyard safari kit we got at target which started the whole frog thing. It is a small tank with very little land but the free tadpole is a northern leopord frog. I have read they jump alot and now have read bad reviews on this tank even for tadpoles. What will be the best tank for this tadpole when it gets bigger. I am hoping for a tadpole I can keep it alive in the small tank for now. I am pretty sure since they come from different climates they cant go in the same terranium, correct? Any advice would be appreciated. I dont want my kids upset because one of thier frogs died.
