The new guy

Hi My name is Waly Lama and I live in San Jose ca, I've had frogs and toads since age 8. I'm about to turn 30 and just started up new tanks on the first. I currently have 5 hybrid Bombina variegata and am lookin for a bright green one and an albino if it's convenient. I recently came up on a 100 gal tank (48x30x15) so I started planting (mostly water plants) in preperation for either Trachycephalus resinifictrix (milk frog) or Theloderma corticale (mossy frog) I dont know yet. I like the watery tanks so prolly Mossies. I got into it originally when I came across some bullfrog tadpoles that I captured in a stream in Cupertino Ca. I had it for about a year as a tadpole. Watching it change was what got me into it for good. I also caught some Pacific Chorus tadpoles and once they climbed out of the water they became little meals for the bull frog and learned a valuable lesson about commingling. I've taken several years off do to space restrictions but now I have lots and lots of room for tanks so I got back on it first thing. I always welcome comments/advice and interaction so feel free to put your 2 cents in. Thanx for having me.

Hi Waly, welcome to Frog Forum. Theloderma corticale would be a great choice if you are building a semi-aquatic tank. Is there any breeders around San Jose?

Hey guys. Thanx for the reply. As ar as breeders in SJ it is dying art in the south bay area. I was hoping to get some mossies from either sandfireranch.com or there is gunna be a herp show in july. As far as pics go I shall be posting prolly tomorrow.
