I finally finished the rain chamber Saturday and my Red-Eyed Leaf Frog laid her first clutch of eggs Sunday night. The eggs are not viable. I found a much smaller second clutch this morning. Too early to tell if they will develop. Is it unusual for first clutches to not be viable?
I've heard of that happening with the first clutch. Make sure you are dusting the crickets with vitamins and calcium supplements. Breeders have found that this helps to ensure the eggs are healthy. A very popular brand is the Repashy Calcium Plus and it can be purchased at www.Joshsfrogs.com
Also a side note. Please make sure that you put in your user profile your country and location so that we can better help you.
And congrats on your success with getting your female to lay eggs...that's the first step.![]()
Sorry to ask this but I don't know anything about RETF. Do the females lay the eggs and then the male fertilises them or something else?
