    Default Red Cranwells???

I just picked up a new female today and when i first saw it i was thought it was a ornate because of the red throughout the entire body but at a closer inspection it didnt have the black dots behind the eyes that ornates have. Has anyone else seen one like this? I will post pics when i get home. She is red with dark green spots and yellow around the spots. And she has the three green lines like a browning green cranwells will have. I have a brown and a green cranwells and this one doesnt look anything like it. Any help will be appreciated.

Next question you have to ask is, "Is it a fantasy frog"?

Ive had a couple fantasy frogs and this one looks nothing like them. It really just looks like a red cranwells. Once i get a chance to post a pic i will. And she is huge shes a little smaller then my large albino which is 6" SVL. If it is a fantasy i would be shocked

This is the only picture i have of her right now from my cell phone, i need to charge my camera and get something better. her colors are super bright. So my question would be is this normal for a cranwells because ive never seen one with this coloration. And since it doesnt have the spots behind the eyes should i know its not a ornate. Any help is appreciated

Wow that's gotta be the best cranwelli I've ever seen, or a hybrid. Either way it's a beauty.

Yea she is a beauty thats the main reason i ended up getting her. Im just stumped on figuring out what she is lol. Shes very very active compared to all my others and shes rarely ever burrowed. Do you guys think shes like a ornate x cranwell hybrid?

The japanese seem to be the masters of cranwelli morphs.
I sometimes look at this website just to drool:

    http://www.samurep.jp/syohin/animals.html
    0.0.2 Ceratophrys cranwelli
    0.0.3 Dendrobates azureus
    0.0.4 Dendrobates tinctorius "Alanis" (tads)

    0.0.1 Lepidobatrachus laevis
    0.0.4 Pyllobates terribilis
    0.0.3 Ranitomeya imitator "Chazuta"

When I first saw it I was pretty sure it was an ornate but I'm second guessing myself now. Honestly I'm not really sure, although it really does look to be a Cranwelli after further examination. I don't think there are any Ornata x Cranwellis so I guess I'm stumped. Sweet frog regardless though, super nice pickup.

That is one gorgeous pacman! I believe Ornates don't always have the dots behind their eyes, rare I believe though. Either way, still one really pretty little guy!

She looks like a cranwells to me. I highly doubt it's a cranwells x ornate mix. Don't think anyone is going for the mix. From what I read the survival rates of tadpoles and froglets from that mixed is very low.

Here's a picture of a red cranwells from one of the books I have. Wish there was more in the book but this was only one.
