I use a 2.0 and 5.0 in my 18x18x24 and they seem to provide good heat and lighting, especially for live plants.

Yea I heard of people mixing the different bulbs. I might try that. I plan in putting some bamboo in my terrarium. That's the only live plant I'd like at the moment.

I have a 2.0 doesn't give much heat. You might wana do the 5.0. Whites like it warm. I have 2 heat pads (one human) the 2.0 and a 50 watt grow light.

Look at my alblum, I've had allot of compliments on my plants. All easy growers.
Bamboo, snake, prayer, peace lily, palm, broms, corn, and drecanea.
