Hi! I'm just posting some photos of my fish and tanks for MeTree, and anybody else who is interested. These aren't all my fish, but they're some of the better photographs I have of them.
This is a full shot of my 55 gallon. In there are two male firemouths, two male convicts, a gold severum, a blood parrot, and a jewel cichlid.
This photo is of Meta and Attila, my lesbian breeding pair of convicts (yes, seriously).
This is a full shot of my 75 gallon. It houses two blood parrots, two female convicts, one female firemouth, one blue acara, one chocolate cichlid, a male/female electric yellow pair, a red zebra, and a plecto.
A cute picture of my jewel cichlid:
Brett the convict, and Mercy the flowerhorn. They no longer live together, as Mercy is a psychopath.
Cloud, Dahlia, Balsa, and Spot. Dahlia is the b.p. with a couple of black spots, Cloud is the b.p. without them. Balsa is the convict with the long fins on top.
Sorry for photo overload... I could have done worse, believe me. >_>
Just for the heck of it, here's a list of all my tanks/fish that are above 10 gallons (a few smaller betta containers are floating around here):
10 gallon - EBJD (2 inches, growing out)
10 gallon - betta with snail friend, soon to have some ADFs
20 gallon - Meta and Attila, the lesbian convict pair with 5 albino tiger barbs
20 gallon - 2 ACFs, 5 black skirted tetras (just til cycle finishes)
30 gallon - Bruce the green spotted puffer
40 gallon - Mercy the flowerhorn
55 gallon - Bully and Bumble the firemouths, Brett and Spot the convicts, Bermuda the blood parrot, Sparkle the severum, and Glitter the jewel
75 gallon - Cloud and Dahlia the blood parrots, Balsa and Key the convicts, Anne the firemouth, Karley the blue acara, Godiva the chocolate cichlid, and unnamed red zebra, unnamed electric yellows, unnamed plecto
Really neat fishies! The pictures wouldn't come up on my computer. It could just be mine, I am having alot of internet trouble today (which is why I don't have my thread up yet).
Blue Acaras are one of my #1 favorites! I barely see them, though. How are yours? I've always wondered what kind of personality they have. I was going to get one when I first started fishkeeping, but I decided that I should start out with a peaceful tank. My only cichlid right now is a beautiful Jewel that is staring out me as I type. His name is Joel. He loves it when I play guitar!
I hope to get my list up soon, but like I said, I am having some really bad internet problems. I may have gotten a bug.Hopefully I'll have some pics up this afternoon.
Very nice fish!![]()
Let me know if the pictures continue not to work later - I linked them from my photo album on MFK, and its possible they just won't show and I'll have to link them from somewhere else.
My blue acara is incredibly kind - him and the chocolate cichlid are some of the most peaceful ones I've ever seen. My female firemouth used to chase and nip at the acara, and the acara would completely ignore her and just mind his own business. She finally quit doing it. I don't have an actual photo of him yet, because he doesn't like to sit still, but I'll make it my mission today to try to get one for you.
Let me know once your net starts working if the pictures still won't show up, and I'll stick them on imageshack or something instead.![]()
Pics not working for me either. But fish, love them! I got a beta yesterday when I picked up Haiku lol.
Argh! Ok, I'll get them moved to Imageshack and try again. Silly photos.
Working on getting photos moved into my photo albums on here. For now, here are two photos of my new froggie set ups! The first is my new ACF set up, and the second is my new Firebelly set up. The firebellies are finally finished, the ACFs will get some more plants and other decor soon.

You said the first was your ADF and the second was your firebellies? lol.
I love firebellies! They are so neat! What size tank is that?
I think I saw a glimps of your aquatic frog, and it looks like a clawed frog! Could you get some close-ups? The body form looks like an ACF. Many pet stores get the 2 species of frog confused.
I couldn't find quite all the same photos I originally uploaded, but I found plenty of joy to post. I'm putting a few here, and there's others I'm not linking in my albums, if you're curious for more. MeTree, I found out I actually did have a photo of my blue acara!

Shush you, I flipped things. >_> They are ACFs. If you look closely up front, you'll see the albino, and swimming in the back is the gray one. I'm charging the camera batteries now, and then I'll try to get close ups.
They're both in 20 gallons - the ACFs are in a 20 gallon high, and the firebellies are in a 20 gallon long. If you go to my albums, you'll see some close ups of my firebellies.
Such neat tank setups! What kind of aeration do you have on the right side of your 75 gallon tank? It looks big.
Very nice fish! Thanks for getting a picture of the Blue Acara! You have some nice Parrots! Did you buy all of your Convicts, or did you breed some? I have heard that convicts will,"breed in a muddy puddle in the middle of an earthquake" lol.
Also, don't flowerhorns become one of the most monsterous cichlids in the hobby? LOL, I saw a pair of them at a pet store that made a 55 gallon tank look small. Just wondering.
(edit; )
I have always heard that albino ADFs are so rare, that you never expect to see one in the hobby. How much did you pay for the little guy? Does it have webbing on its front "hands"?
The aeration is just a normal airstone that's getting blasted by an air pump. The fish love playing in the bubbles.
I bought all my convicts. My two males never showed any interest in breeding, even when they were with females. Its rather ironic that out of all my convicts, my only breeding pair are lesbian, lol.
Most flowerhorns get huge - around 10 to 12 inches long. I think mine is a shortbody, but I have no idea. Its likely that 40 gallon won't hold her for life, but it'll do for now - she's only around 4 inches long atm.
They're clawed frogs, not dwarf frogs. Sorry for the confusion. There's a thread about albino dwarf frogs on the Frogs & Toads - Aquatic Clawed Frogs at FrogForum.net section. Apparently some guy managed to find like, 12 of them.
