I've been doing a bit of research on breeding Pacmans since I *think* I have a male and a female (to be honest, both of them have croaked at me once or twice, but only one of them actually sings). General sources say it takes two months just to get them in the mood, and after that it's a waiting game. It would be cool to be able to make money just by creating more of my favorite little critter.
I was also looking into bearded dragons, which are considerably easier to breed, but why move on to a different species if I haven't even tried with the one I already keep?
I am almost positive this is a male:

And this beast (she takes up my whole hand if I have to hold her now, and I can't even see her feet anymore hahaha) is my suspected/probable female, named Jabba:

She loves nightcrawlers X). I don't have stable internet at this time, let alone a big enough place for now to start up a breeding project, so at the moment I'm focusing on gathering information. I have a third frog, but he/she is just a little baby and obviously can't breed. Bright green and black though, whatever gender it is, I'd definitely breed it in the future.
I've heard that if they have a pointed nose it's female, and a blunt nose is male, but Bloaty has a pointed nose and I've seen him sing with my own eyes, bulgy throat and all. He doesn't do it much anymore unfortunately. And my larger suspected blunt-nosed female has never done anything other than offer an angry grunt when I had to unbury her to clean her cage...so I'm not sure that's accurate.
I'd also heard that the males have padded thumbs, but it appears that this potential couple have thumb pads. I find it hard to believe that these guys have been in the trade so long and there is no accurate sexing technique that I can find; I am sure I must be missing something, lol.
Thanks for any help in advance. I'll check back when I can![]()
