I think I do want to just stick with using the original tank. My dad and I are both kind of set on the idea, we're going to attach legs to the bottom and make it work fixer-upper style. Besides, I've grown quite attached to this tank, I would be sad to see this bargain go.

Just kidding...but really, thank you for your insight. One of my favorite ideas on this thread. XD
