Hi,as you have probably read on here my lovely malaysian leaf frog Desmond Tutu has passed away,I had him a month,I am wondering how he came to be unwell so quickly and died before I was able to take him to the vet
Are they hard to keep in captivity?
Is it unusual to have them for a long time?

Desmond went very shiny and I thought he has shed his skin but he went black in the space of an hour and then died

He had some pink spots on his nose and chest,a bacterial infection I suppose,on another forum they said my substrate was too damp

I thought I had kept him in correct conditions, keeping him cool and on his own
In the pet shop he lived in a 20cm square container with another frog

I feel that I have let him down

I am also worried about my other two which are kept separate and are from another shop and look much bigger and more active.I hope I can keep these two successfully,I am very nervous of losing these too
