Hey folks,
Just wanted to drop in and say hi since I've been posting on here for a couple months now.
I'm Wormwood or David - 27y/o Graphic Arts/Pre-Press Technician out in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago. I've loved frogs, newts, salamanders and especially toads since I was six years of age and grew up around them all my life. Casual hobbiest through and through, never plan to become a breeder.
At the moment I have two wonderful Cane toads, Jug'Jug and Jigs. Two Eqyptian toads, Oliver and Link. Three Texas Toads, Houdini, Pancake and Flapjack and lastly my six American Toads, Poe, August, June, Shrimp, Tick and Tack.
All breeds are housed in 60 gallon tanks or larger and my American Toads have a playground spanning 120-140 gallons (one of those old ferret glass cages found at your run of the mill pet store).
With exception to the Texas Toads most are rescues from breeders or petstores that weren't giving them enough attention and food. It's rare that I buy a toad or frog just because I'm seeking a specific breed. It's really enjoyable for me to bring a little skinny thing back to life.
I'll be happy to impart any information I've gained raising toads and frogs over the years and hope to learn much from all the wise folks out there with difference experiences.
