Frog id please!

Hi All,
This morning I discovered this frog near our pool.
I have looked on Amphibiaweb, trying to id it and there are a few with similar types of markings.
Can anyone give me a firmer id please?

Sorry-I couldn't even take a guess....looks like it could be part of the Family Ranidae. Other than that, I am not much help.. Best of luck with a positive I.D.

I looked at all the photos of native frogs of Italy and couldn't come up with anything positive. My suggestion is to contact the Societas Europea Herpetologica Home page or Societas Herpetologica Italica. They will be able to help.
