@Cheri: I forgot to say above that yeah, with the lighting and the angle these pictures don't do their eye colors justice, they really looked blue in the sunlight when we got first looks.

@Eric, Unclechester: Thanks so much guys, I'm really proud of my new editions. I hope their eyes only get bluer! I'll try to post more pics once these guys settle in, they've had a rough time and I want to make sure they're comfortable before I start throwing them around and snapping photes in their eyes. But you know me, my albums should be bursting full within the month!

@Ginger: I know you love blue, you're the first person I thought of when Cheri texted me that these guys had blue eyes. I thought "Wouldn't Ginger love a blue phase with blue eyes." ^ ^ Oh please take a bunch of pictures of your new yellow eye!!!! I can't wait to see what he or she looks like and the tank you have set up for it! Make sure to post a thread with arrival pictures so we can all get a good look at your new editions!

@Lesley: I love the Thelma and Louise comment, what do you think about that Cheri? Yeah we drove all around Escondido causing trouble, it was wild! >> Naaaah...just kidding, but it was a great frog adventure. As soon as these guys settle in I'll be taking LOADS of pictures I promise you! Just check out my album now, and imagine four times the amount I have now and that'll be what you'll see in the next few months. XD

ya I checked alblums right away, tisk tisk... Cheri, no photos!!

I've seen a couple pictures in WTF books. And I love the blue/ish of your tigers and now this tops it off. Mine will just have blue sides and feet. I was wanting somethibg rare kibda too. I think the annae was on johns wish list you did a while back.

I'm going to have to look into some albinos way after I get a big 100 gal done for the whites I have now. Blues are so in, you should see how rare true blue is in flowers also. I've got quite a collection of blue outside also. Check this, a cold tolerant blue hybiscus!!! I'll take pictures of my annae on that this summer. Blue, blue, everwhere !!!

Yes I totally agree it was definately great fun. Besides my eight year old daughter I've never hung out with someone and just did frog stuff. It may sound silly but just going to Home Depot and walking around looking at plants and discussing our options that was fun. I usually do that by myself. And we went to LLL Reptile and looked at frogs and other supplies. Walking around like kids in a candy store checking out all their frogs and talking about what our next frogs will be. And then going home washing our plants and setting up the tank. Like I said I am usually doing those things by myself so being able to share that with someone equally frog crazy was an adventure.

As far as Phillipp goes he has a nice photo on Kingsnake of his frogs and he delivered. His frogs were as described and they look stunning. We were both really worried that we'd drive all that way and then be disappointed by the frogs. But as soon as we saw them we looked at each other with a smile and said "we'll take them." By the way we didn't pay full price by any means. No.... we didn't pay $2 a piece for them...but like I always tell people buy captive bred from the breeder and you're less likely to have health problems with your frogs. In the long run I think we got a good deal because Phillippe delivered what we were expecting. Now Kisa just needs to take the Uncle Chester photography class and get some good photos of Bruce and Paul.

    I have to agree with Cheri on the whole "hanging out with another frogger" thing. It really was a blast, and I hope we can do it again sometime soon. I usually take my friends with me when I go frog accessory shopping, so I've never done it "alone" per se, but the people that come along aren't froggers! They don't KNOW! They just don't know...So it was really fun to walk around in LLL with a person who shares a passion for our rubbery friends, and trade information back and forth about different frogs. She showed me a book filled with pictures and information about darts and asked a TON of questions I had about Red Eyes and the other frogs in her collection, and I was able to answer a few of her questions about White's. It really was a great experience, fun, informative, and I got to bring home more than just some froggie friends. ^ ^ It really is a bonding experience, to explore with a person who shares an interest in frogs. Another thing is it's really nice to say words like "dendrobate" and "zoo med" and "pothos" and "hygrotherm" and not have the person you're talking to look at your like you're insane. XD;

And with Phillippe it was exactly like that! I remember sitting at a table outside Barnes and Noble being nervous and waiting to see if he showed up. When we finally found the guy I was relieved to see he had actually brought the frogs, and that they were everything as advertised. XD

As for the pictures, I really hope I can take more soon and appease the angry frog gods. ><

@Ginger: Blue blue blue for you! XD Haha, I can't wait to see pictures, really, I bet your frog is going to be amazing!

@Grrit and ISW Avalon: Thank you guys so much! I'm really excited to be adding these guys to my "frog family". ^ ^

I'll def have to get one!! It must be great to live next to a huge place like that. Or atleast within a days(5 hrs) drive. Even Minneapolis doesn't have any real reptile shops. I'll have to check chicago. You guys at LLL Reptile, and even Don can go to black jungle!! All you are so lucky to get your ideas from such a great store!! My next trip I'm going to have to see some great huge reptile(frog) store. I'm lucky if I even see red eyes up here
    Lucky lucky.. XD

Ginger, if you look hard enough I'm sure you'll find one! Maybe some day you can get up the cash to fly out here and see one of our shops, then maybe me, you, AND Cheri could all hang out!

And Frogkam, nice one. XD I hope they're catching lots of people eyes! I still don't feel like they've had a proper frog forum welcome, so here goes with picture time!

I got these ones when I was replacing the paper towels on the bottom of their tank, they were pretty soggy. So I caught these guys on candid camera sleeping on the same leaf, just precious. ^ ^

You can really see the blue in Bruce's eyes from this angle. And how shy Paul is...>>

Just another angle, Paul was too nervous to smile.

    Enjoy!

You know...after I posted these pictures and got a real good look at them...a question entered my mind.

Is there a way that Bruce Willis there could be considered an albino...? He's not brown or green, and he's definitely not a blue phase. He's more of an orangey yellow...

Now I don't even know if Albino White's exist, but it would be really cool to know, either way.

Maybe the experts could come in and take a look? That would be very helpful...

Albinism in White's seems to be a lethal trait, all of the albino tadpoles that I am aware of have died shortly before or during metamorphosis.

Super awesome, I was pretty close to picking one up myself, but decided I'd already spent too much on herps for the month, lol. Philippe is one of the top breeders in the business in my opinion, really cool pick up. Congrats!!!

Thanks! When Cheri found these and showed them to me I couldn't help myself. XD I hadn't planned on getting any more White's either, but these were a must-have! XD
