Talking Hey There From Austin, TX

    Hey everyone! I am Sharky!

I have a lot of animals and I am going to school for studio art. I have a motorcycle that I like to ride. It is broken down right now. Sad about that but it happens. Any moty mechanics in here? lol
Lets see... I have always loved reptiles and amphibians. I grew up in Portalnd Oregon. I used to catch garter snakes and tree frogs all the time when I was little.
Here is a sad/ funny story.
When I was little, about 6 or something; I caught two tree frogs over the weekend. That Monday after school I came home to find them shriveled up in the critter keeper I had them in that I left in the yard. I felt so guilty and I cried and I had a little funeral for them and burried them in little graves. =P I have come a long way since then. n_n
I also like music, driving at night, fishing (catch and release), dogs, reptiles, amphibians, drawing, painting, sculpting, feeding animals, picking up poop, lightning, chroma, blah, blah, blah, booze.

Here is my current collection (I will start with the amphibians):
    0.1.0 Budgett's Frog
    0.0.1 Tomato Frog
    0.0.2 Milk Frog Tads
    1.1.0 Malayan Leaf Frogs

    0.0.1 Frilled Dragon
    0.0.1 Blue Tegu

Animals I have that are soon to be re-homed:

    1.0.0 Hypo Ball Python
    0.1.0 100% Het Hypo Ball
    1.1.0 Carrot Tail Chuckwallas
    0.1.0 Red Foot Tortoise

Some are pending trade, sale, or are unspoken for. But still in my possession.

    MY WANTED LIST! amphibians only:
    Male Budgett's
    Vietnamese Mossy Tree Frogs
    Amazon Milk Frogs
    Bird poopoo frogs
    Tiger Salamanders (Waterdogs, Mudpuppies) Whatevs
I will stop there... There is always more but these are the main ones I am looking for right now.

    Hopefully I didn't bore y'all.
I hope to have fun here and be an active member and meet other crazy people like myself.

Welcome aboard. By the way, tiger salamanders and mudpuppies are totally completely and unrelated beasts.

    Good to know. =)
Learned something new. I have always heard they were the same. Just different parts of the country.

We would love to see pics of your animals!

I use to live not so far from Austin. I miss it. They're probably going to have blue bonnet festivals soon.

I think you should integrate some clay scupture for your next viv. The one you showed made me think it would look great in one. I think it's style was perfect also, leaving it a little artsy and not ultra naturalistic. I think you could have a very cool vivs making your own stuff. I look forward to seeing what you do.

That is a good idea. I just need to find some clay that doesn't have to be fired in a kiln because I don't have access to one right now.

if they're fired, it's kinds sealed up right. Other kind may hurt them, you'd have to dry it, and seal it up with silicone. Eithor way, I think the style of the one you did was great. You could also do one with a hose and make a little fall. Maybe others would want a viv like yours and you'd be in buisness..

My vivs all have something that looks like it does/doesn't belong. A big marble sphere in one, and a marano glass ashtray in another. So I like having something different, where I think all vivs start to look the same after a while, or atleast after 1,000 pictures.

I think there is clay you can buy and cook in the oven. I could see if I could make that work. Or I could try to find a kiln somewhere in town that I can use. I could probably sneak my stuff in the kiln at my college without a problem. But it would be awesome to have my own... lol
