    Default Fogger/waterfall exoterra/zoomed ??

I'm getting a 18x18x24 Exoterra terrarium for my tree frogs. I originally wanted the Exoterra fogger but there is also a Zoo Med one that is a little more expensive. Then there is a waterfall/pump/fogger combo too. Which one should I get and what are the pros and cons of each?

    Hi Kairi,
Both of the external foggers will allow you to fill less frequently.
If you set your fogger up on a timer then you just have to determine how often you need it to fog and for how long to keep your humidity at the levels you need.

The waterfall/fogger system works well, but you will need to change the water often depending on what tree frogs you have and how dirty the water gets. If they get it dirty every night then the waterfall/fogger isn't for you.

Check out some of the videos on youtube and you'll see how the foggers work. One thing foggers do not do is water the plants ig your viv has live plants. A rain system will do this if that is what your looking also.

I believe many people here have worked with foggers so you will hopefully get some more answers as to what works well with what you have.

I have had both foggers that you mentioned here. I have also had the ExoTerra waterfall/ fogger combo. I must say as far as foggers go the Zoo Med Repti Fogger is by far the best one. It has a reservoir that comes with it and it will last quite awhile before you have to refil it. Set it up with the ZooMed HygroTherm and it will maintain the humidity in the tank for you. You just program it in for what you want day and night and it will keep it right there. The ExoTerra Foggers are junk and not worth the money, the same can be said for the combo unit. The foggers you recess into the water get hot and can be a potential hazzard to your frog. When they are in the waterfall you have to refill the water in the waterfall once or twice a day or it runs dry. Many people don't see the need for the foggers because simple misting should be enough to maintain your humidity. I like them so that I can go on vacation and not have to have frog sitters.
