The hose for mine is 3/8. And it runs up about 7" and us met by a elbow with another 2" of tubing for the waterfall. I'm no plumber but maybe it just doesn't have the gph power to do it.

Altough for my taste it is a little bit to symmetrical,
but the water part must look nice in real,
always difficult getting you're viv on the photo the way it looks in real tough

Very nicely done and a very informative thread. just a couple of helpful hints for next time. When you're spraying out the GS lay the tank on its back and you wont have to worry about the sagging. Next, after you're done pressing the coco fiber in and its dried overnight just dump out the excess then use a shop vacuum to clean up lose particles and stuff in the crevices. It a cleaner alternative to blowing it out especially for those who work on their vivs on the kitchen table.

I really enjoyed reading up on your build. I love the idea of using the plastic sheet for channeling the water feature. Simple and elegant to say the least. I can see some great possibilities with that in the future.

Your root idea is also great. I just started working on some root/vines for my next build using rope and silicone covered in coco fiber. Your idea will be fantastic for making the finer looking root detail!

I learned to flip the tank around really fast. My second wall Rr lol. On my first viv I had little to no experience with gs foam. coincidentally I was heavy handed and over killed the foam and lost alot of space on the inside. But it was only a razor knife away from satisfactory.

A I'm extremely happy to hear a shop vac would work lol. I didn't want to suck the silicon of the foam

I was worried I would suck something out too, lol, thats why I went with the air compressor. It was a huge mess though.
