Hey guys! It's me, MeTree.
I am wondering if you guys could answer some/all of my important pacman frog questions. As some of you guys know, I got a pacman frog yesterday. I didn't realize there was so many things I didn't know, so that is why I am starting a thread about it.
The questions are numbered for convinience of reading and replying. In your reply, please provide the number of the question(s) you are replying to.
Here is the list of questions:
1) Do Green cranwellis see the color red? I had heard that albinos don't see it, but I was wondering about Greens.
2) Are Cranwellis Ok with very, very little light in the room at night? Almost completely dark other than a street light that dimly shines through the window, and my brother's goldfish's hood lamp on the other side of the room (the light is mostly blocked by furniture.
3) What do I need to do before I handle my pacman frog? e.g. do I need to wash my hands? Soap? No soap? Only handle when wearing latex-free gloves?
4) How long should I wait minimumally before I start occasionally handling? I don't plan to handle it (any more lol) until it starts eating regularly. I was just wondering if there was a point where they are only a tiny bit stressed about it.
5) Are Dusted crickets and a rare pinky mouse (to be introduces much later) be Ok for my pacman's diet?
6) What is the proper way to dust a cricket?
7) Is there a reliable way to sex juvinile pacman frogs? I thought I heard it make an odd, quiet croaking sound when I accidently started it once.
8) Someone said that a 10g tank will eventually stunt a pacman's growth. Is that true?
9) Are there any vitamin products that anyone is willing to mention by name? I want to get my frog on vitamins later.
10) I have heard conflicting reports on this, but what is the proper humidity range for a pacman frog?
11) Are pacmans effected at all by "humidity flucuations"? e.g. I take its lid off and the humidity goes from 85 to 70 in less than 2 minutes.
13) I may start a thread on this if it sounds doable, but is there a way to boil and create DIY grapewood that doesn't harm the pacman?
Those are my questions. Sorry they are so numerous. If you can answer 1 or all of them, I really appreciate it!
Thanks guys!

1) I don't think so, but I don't know

13) Probably, but I don't know how to do it
Thanks for the quick answers guys!
I actually got it to eat a cricket today! I took a cricket in my fingers, and put the cricket in my pacman frog's face. The cricket started mildly slapping my pacman. It probably hated it, and it got aggressive towards the cricket. Then, my pacman started thinking like a pacman and it ate his opponent with 2 bites. My pacman almost bit my finger. The pacman had a blank stare after the cricket dissappeared. It didn't seem stessed after it's opponent was defeated.
Probably not the best way to get a little guy to eat, and I may not do it again, but I can't tell you how glad I was when my pacman ate that cricket!
Hey guys, should I feed my pacman again tonight? It didn't eat yesterday, and the cricket I gave it wasn't dusted w/ Calcium and D3.
I fed my pacman again tonight. It didn't seem to go as smoothly as last time. The pacman did eat the dusted cricket, though.
The pacman frog kept tucking in its eyes afterwards. Even a couple minutes later. I am wondering why it was doing that, it didn't happen the first time.
My pacman hasn't seemed to have found the water dish yet. My little guppy fry is still swimming in there doing nothing. Do I need to introduce the pacman to the water tomorrow? I know they need water to drink, and my pac hasn't drinken any. I don't want to do anything tonight because my pacman is already abit stressed about the feeding, I think.
How often should I force-feed? How many crickets a day minimumally for my baby pacman? Should I introduce it to water tomorrow?
Thanks guys!
Frogs don't really "drink" water, they absorb it through their skin. I would personally say you are a long way from force feeding your little guy. Give him some time to just chill. When he starts eating I would let him eat as much as he can in a few minutes. He should find the water when he really needs it. Hope this helps.
I wrote up a post and it got deleted.
Thanks for te info! My pacman found water today.
How much should I feed my baby pac, and how often should I feed it? I made a video of me feeding my pacman. It took almost 9 minutes last time to get it to eat a cricket. I think either I did something wrong, or my pacman isn't ready for "hunting" yet (or both).
Also, could you guys please check out this question. I don't want my pacman to suffocate, and I don't know if I put enough holes in my pacman's plastic lid.
Thanks guys!
Hey guys! Could you guys please check out my video of my pacman frog eating? You can find the video here.
I need to know if I need to feed it today. I need to know how much a baby eats, and how often to feed it. Feel free to comment on my video or here.
Please check that out!!
Thanks!![]()

I am SO glad my pacman is hunting now! Other than the pacman peeing on my hand while I was putting it in the feeding tank, it was a really successful feeding!
I need to know how often and how much to feed it! I fed it 2 crickets the second day, 1 cricket the third day, 2 crickets fourth day (yesterday), and no crickets today. I would really like to get an organized feeding schedule.
Also, my pacman is a little bit bigger than quarter, how old would that make it? Just slightly bigger? When people age pacmans, does their age start at tadpole, or after metamorphisis?
Thanks for helping with my numerous pacman frog questions!

Hey guys, I need to get some feeding tongs. Maybe something that looks like this. The problem with that is that it has sharp edges. Where do you guys get you feeding tongs with the rubber saftey ends on them?
How big should my pacman be before it starts eating Pinky mice? I just want to know ahead of time, I think that is probably aways off.
