well, I think I heard someone say darts can eat 30 of them. So I'd say to support a red you'd have to start culturing them. I thaught they could eat crickets. Just buy smaller ones

Welcome aboard.
hey thanks for the welcome i been here for a few days im still trying to get to know th forum im sorry if i posted it on the wrong part...but thanks wow 30 thats alot i cant even find small enough crikets to feed them they are tiny ...the lady shipped me a container of flightless fruit flies so i thought id ask i will post pics as soon as i get home....in class right now lol![]()
I'm sure pin head or 3 week old crix will be fine. Your enclosure the right size for your frog to find food. Otherwise use a cricket bowl-- use internal search for explanation. U size the food to whatever the distance is between the eyes, so if you go buy some tonight, u know how to get the right ones.
i just got the babies today and the lady told me to not feed them till tomorrow evening because they had gotten fed before they got shipped...but since i have a container of the fruit flies i figured i'd feed them those for now but i will check up on really small crikets thank you ...
I would definitely try and go with the crickets if I were you, no matter how small the frogs are. just get the smallest crickets you can find. Babies grow fast and will need all the vitamins they can get. I started off feeding my baby White's crickets that were just a bit too big for him and now he eats nearly 15 small crickets every two days, and sometimes 10 a night! He's grown a whole inch since I picked him up a month ago, and is on his way to becoming the right size to introduce to the other tank.
You have a separate tank for your babies right? You should not house new arrivals with already established frogs. Besides the fact that your older frog could see your younger frogs as food items, if your new frogs came with illnesses they could pass to your already established animal or vice versa. The quarantine period is a minimum of 30 days, and that may seem like forever now, but it'll go fast, promise. ^ ^

here they are
if u notice in one of the pics i believe its the second one u can see the lil guys back really good and he has 3 yellow dots on his back i got him just like that today what do those dots mean ?
They look great Nikki! Excellent choice going with lllreptiles, I've only heard good things about them. The spots on the little guys back look normal to me, some tree frogs get spots, this is just how they develop. Check out pictures of my Phyllomedusa Tomopterna in my album, the male is spotted all over!
