Oh I am poor, no mistake about that. I just have my pricinples. I rather support businesses that are not directly responsible for shipping American manufacturing jobs over seas. All those cheap products are being made in China these days, and do you think a Chinese factory worker who make a 25 cents an hour gives a **** about the quality or safety of any given product that will be sold here in the US?

While I understand, don't blame Walmart. Blame the politicians that walmart and their ilk lobbied to change the global trade agreement so that companies like walmart could ship those jobs overseas.

OK so there is more than one party to blame. But then again no one shops at the Capitol building looking for bargains.

So maybe this is a stupid question but could I do this set up for an American Bullfrog?

If you used a large enough container, sure. The problem with American Bullfrogs is that they can jump so far in one jump that they need a lot of space.

Probably not, as bullfrogs Lithobates catesbeianus have very powerful legs that can launch them great distances. I doubt you will be able find a Rubbermaid/Sterlite box that would be big enough to prevent injury when your frog panics and slams itself into the side of the box. Most Ranids are easily panicked.

One of our members built an excellent bullfrog enclosure. Look for that thread under the Ranid section of the forum, I think.

Thanks : ) Ive decided that I'm gonna find a good pond for him. Not that I couldn't get him some more room but I have enough pets as it is. I just had to rescue him from the drain pipe at work..that was my main concern. I might get him some food and fatten him up first so he doesn't become easy prey. idk

In my terrarium, there is no animals, only some plants. There is only a little promelb, fungis started to grow... They are in terrarium one day, and than disappear. Can I spray the terrarium with some fungicide? And there are some mites. With what can I treat them?

Not bad at all – I like the non-dangerous material and the easy cleaning options.
The only disturbing thing is the lack of transparency.

Hi all just read this thread the bug guys have been using these for yonks. The advantage is your frogs can't see out so they feel more secure. You can put fly screen in between 2 layers of mesh to stop things getting out.In the UK ,IKEA sell some really big ones to make them bigger you can join them using plastic drainage pipe ie have one box wet one dry They make good outdoor vivs for summer, use fly screen as a lid and put a few drainage holes in so they dont over fill and drown your animals if it rains on them

My son found a pic of someone who kept his hamsters in several all joined together using bits of drain pipe. They are great for housing tads and newly metamorphosed frogs you can get it quite humid with little effort. BUT THE MAIN THING IS THEY DON'T SMASH IF YOU DROP EM! .Plus you can stack em easily enough and when they get old and scratched you can throw them and replace without costing a fortune.

This is an awesome idea!! I just made one for my Phyllomedusa sauvagii, with lots of ventilation mind you. I added one thing. I picked out a nice, large piece of grapewood at the local pet store and glued it to the bottom center of the terrarium to make a sturdy "tree." The waxy's seem to love it. Again, great idea John.

    Thanks,
    Thomas
