i was really hoping for some advice. im trying learn about the whole humidty part of this. ans what types of lights i need/can use.
Hey guys, im frogger87 on here...you guys can call me edward. So i was just looking for some care advice for my White-Lipped Tree Frog and my brand new Green Tree Frog. I have the white lip set up in a 10 gallon ( i want at least a 20 g but just can't afford it ) and i have the little Green Tree Frog in one of the smaller standerd platic tanks, its pretty much a mansion to him though. I feed them both every other day, 3 large crickets for Frogger (my white lipped) and 2 small crickets for Kermit (the little Green Tree Frog). I;d appreciate any advice i can get as i really love my frogs and want to provide for them the best i can. thanks guys.

hey well im kinda new to the frog thing also but i have red eye tree frogs ....the humidity should be any where from 60% and higher but try and keep it between 65% and 75% ........i use a uvb light for my frog in the daytime and a blue bulb i got from petsmart for seeing him at night and it also gives heat .......
Welcome to the forum. Why don't you post some picture of your frogs and their setup so we can give you suggestions. Check out the care articles on the left. You will need a humidity gauge. Preferably digital. Post some pictures and maybe we can give you pointers.
I'm going to put up some pictures of the frogs and their setups hopefully today, but if not as soon as i can. As of right now i dont have any gauges as my dumpy was a rescue from a little girl. I have bought him a new terrarium and some fake plants and vines but ran out of money. I think i have the wrong light for him as i cant seem to get any humidity to gather in his tank. Anyways i'm rambling...i'll try and get some pics up so you guys can further help me. thanks a ton.
when there's fog in the tank it's like 100%. And that will breed bacteria or give your frog pneumonia. I know how it is being a broke joke. Half my stuff came from nature and saved me a bundle. U can use sticks that are dry rotted, barkless, or sun bleached. Bake fir an hour at 200•, microwave 10 min, or soak in bleach water, dry, then reg water overnight. I use an ash tray for a water bowl for my baby, and got real plants fir 2$ each at florist and broms fir 3$ at Walmart. You can go pick your own rock for a false bottom, and plant it. Every 2-3 months, take it all out and clean. If u do a real false bottom and plants and dirt, u don't have to do a compete tear down. Just pick up poops that don't land in the plants. I have no hummidity problems with my 33 gal, but my 10 gal for opal would drop crazy (30%) every couple hours. So I had to plant the bottom to keep it stable. I only did half of it so I could mop up extra moisture from that one side. I mounded charcoal I had left over from a fish tank, like 2" of that, screen, then dirt, and sphagam and rocks on top.
