Tonight, I'll be trying Cleaning Vinegar (double strength) and ammoniac. Stay tuned.
I saw you wanted to do a water feature, and I've worked with the pumps you have for it. I use the 350 for my milk viv. The 200 doesn't seem to have the kick to push water too fast above the pump, once you have attached the tubing. The 350 should have come with a elbow fitting. I used that and I believe 3/8" tubing. And I have the flow set as low as possible and still pushes 13"high no prob. The 200 dribbles at high flow rate and only 5.5"
Thanks, that means alot! Try to make a trap door thats easily accesable, it made fine tuning the flow rate so much easier. I'll have a progress report soon of my 10g vert im building now, kinda simple though. And my fiance decided she wants to keep hourglass frogs. So we got another 10g and she'll be starting that in the next week I hope. She wont give up any hints on what she's planning either. Talk about anxious lol
Oh i did somewhat have to fancy a dendro pod to the end of the tubing to keep the water from splashing around. I'm not sure what your planning for the water feature but it was just a personal preference.
Don't know yet how I will build it when it comes to the water flow actually, but I have an idea of how it will be done (false bottom JUST for the waterfall part).
When you say an elbow...., what do you mean? And looking forward to seeing what you will do with our new one.
Attempt to clean the silicone/sea salt stains:
1. Cleaning vinegar: Failed.
2. Ammoniac: Failed.
3. Acetone: Failed.
4. Vim: Failed.
5. Razorblades: Failed.
The glass is either damaged, or nothing works. Therefore... I will try CLR tomorrow while the kids are away, and hope for the best. If this doesn't work, I will have to live peacefully with the idea that the side glasses will have markings on them. But I do not take failure well, and I know I will obsess over them.
I can send up a dead blow hammer that will take the stains out ... hehehehe

is one of those equivalnt to a magic eraser? It gets off gooey stuff
Why don't you cover three sides of the tank like I did with my moss tank and if you have to get a new piece of glass cut for the front.
Well, here it is! I am done with that mastadonte... It's been planted, seeded with springtails, and the waterfall system is built (but not installed). I have used naturally pressed cork boards on the side to keep even more humidity.
Only thing missing is the terribs...
It's cute, Eric. I like the colors of the plants in there a lot.
