Hi, I think my frog has a digestive problem because when it pooped I saw cricket heads in his bowl, and they were never their before he went? Does anyone know what I can do?
Get used to seeing cricket heads in the water if you are feeding crickets. And wings and legs, etc. This is why dubia are superior over crickets as the majority of the dubia is digestible as opposed to all of the undigestible body parts of a cricket. It's totally normal.
dont worry about it i use dubia and i still see small bits of wing as its adult males im using to feed, crickets are smelly noisey and you get a lot of casualtys amongst them look at getting yourself a colony on the go you wont regret it and your pixie will enjoy it to,
cheers spencer..............
Have to ask in this tread, ive seen that in my frogs to. But when i looked in the tank yesterday one of them was eating something looking like a worm? I dont know what it was i have coco and live plants in there...Maybe a root from the plant or a worm from the plant? Should i do anything?
Cheers // Stefan
Hi:
I agree in part with all the other replies, but just make sure your temp. is optimum. If it is to low, your frogs metabolism will not be up to par and thus cause problems in complete digestion of its food.
Hope all is well with your frog.
