    I have:

2.0.0 hyla cinerea (american green tree frogs)
1.1.0 litoria caerulea (white's tree frogs)

    I had:

1.1.0 bufo americanus (common american toads) but they died

Not a very original collection, but this is a new hobby for me

I kept the heat and the humidty up by using dried moss as the substrate, and I placed an undertank heater along the BACK of the tank where it couldnt burn the frog. In a plastic tub, a heating pad placed under the tube, with the tub raised up on feet so it won't melt the plastic.
A cold Frog won't eat. A warm one won't want to stop. Pac-man's like large crickets, roaches, nightcrawlers, small fish etc.

I've only been keeping reptiles for about four years, so I'm fairly new also as compared to people who have been doing it for, say, twenty lol I prefer to keep easier species for now also, I mean, why start out with a species thats wayyy to complicated for a new herper, it's stressful for you and the frog.

By the way, I asked one guy, and since our frog is a baby, he said keep it in a small cage. Our tank is a 10 gallon. Should I go smaller for now? I have a smaller cage so that wouldn't be a problem. And what about feeding, should I feed him with tweezers like I've been doing? Or let him do his own thing? Because I am worried about him ingesting to much of the coconut fiber. I've heard they can eat mice when they get older as an addition to insects but how big does he have to be before he can eat them?

The coconut fiber shouldn't cause impaction. I used it for awhile but my frogs go out to eat everynight. They never eat at home

I would suggest picking up a book on Pac Man Frogs. A ten gallon is fine, but you could always put him inside a small container with no substrate for feedings, then remove him when he is done. You could also feed him by hand with forceps. As I said, a warm frog will eat better. Try feeding him in the evening or at night, as they are nocturnal. A warm misting will wake them up to eat.
I prefer Moss to coconut fiber, cause the coconut fiber makes them look all dirty.
A baby should eat about every day to every other day, usually about 2-3 medium/large crickets. As adults they only need to eat once or twice a week, and mice I would only feed a few times a year.
Pac Man frogs have always been a favorite of mine.

Most books are outdated and filled with bad information imo. And the ones that aren't I read but I prefer to gather a bunch of information, and learn from people about animal care instead of picking up one book and assuming I'm an expert. I don't know of many reptile books that I would even bother reading again anyway. I prefer to get my information from owners themselves. Thanks.
