I have had my fogger for a few months and haven't yet cleaned the tubing. I use de-chlor tap water, so it's getting cloudy and I'm concerned about mold. Any suggestions? I'm sure I'll have to soak it in something, but I'm not sure of the best/safest solution.
(PS. thanks to the info in another thread, I'm switching to distilled for the fogger to eliminate the build-up. Still needs a cleaning, tho.)
Soak it in vinegar and rinse it with water afterwards.
Thanks! That was my idea, but I hadn't heard anything about whether or not vinegar would be a safety issue.
No, i clean my windows and misting system with it as well.
Just thoroughly rinse it afterwards and you shouldn't have any troubles at all,
it dissolves the calcium amazingly quick.
Otherwise you might try some lemon as well.
It is the acid you need![]()
