    Default My new T beauties!

I got my shipment in today of some new beautiful tarantulas, 12 in all, and thought I would share them with everyone. My birthday was new years eve and as a gift I was able to pick out some new members to join my family so I had to get some new Ts. A few will be going to my younger brother as he has a new found interest in tarantulas, but until then they are snug in my critter room.

Don't worry though I didn't bail on my love of frogs and the opportunity to get a few, I'm receiving 2 Pacmans this weekend as well as a few Bird Poop Frogs. I just wanted to hold off until I have everything ready for them.

This little one Is Lucky Seven. When I first opened everything up It looked like she was squashed. After even lighting brushing her she didn't move and I thought she was dead. Just to be sure though I put her in an ICU while I unpacked everyone. Sure enough about 15 minutes later I seen her running around in the ICU. She seems to be doing a lot better, but I also noticed she is actually missing a leg. Thankfully she will get that back during her next molt.

    E. Murinus aka Skeleton Tarantula - I was a little disappointed to see how tiny her butt is, but I will make sure to plump her up.

My new river army! I got a bunch of these cuties! Pictured below is 4 of the ones who weren't camera shy.

As happy of a day this was to receive my new tarantulas, I received sad news a little bit ago. My local caught tarantula, Phillipe , was found in a death curl in the corner of his home. I knew since he was a mature male that he wouldn't be with us for very long, but I was hoping that he would last till spring so we could find him a girlfriend before his passing. I'm going to find a beautiful spot underneath our large tree in the backyard for him.

Rest in peace my little friend.

    Sorry to hear about Phillipe.

I am fascinated with spiders, yet at the same time I have a fear of them. I enjoyed seeing your photos though.

Congrats on the new T's. I really like those new river slings. Aphonopelmas are one of my favorites. I'm hoping to get some arizona blondes in January.

Happy late birthday to you. I also celebrate my B-Day on New Years Eve. For my B-day I got to buy my wife stuff for her new phone and pay for her dinner :-)

Happy belated birthday to both you and Don! Congrats on your new additions; the P. ornata looks amazing!! I bet the E. Murinus will look gorgeous once he or she is plumped up a bit. Jealous!
