For DN Magazine, we are still looking for people who enjoy writing an article.
The article can be about anything concerning our common hobby, keeping and breeding frogs.
So if you feel like you have something to tell about we would be glad to see if we can publish it in our magazine..
The articles can be about anything, from breeding youre own insects, decorating you're viv, or keeping and breeding of a species you are succesfull with.
An article that is very popular is an overall view of a hobbyist and his/here story behind the hobby, like a view of the frog setups, breeding methods, how it all started and where it got to now or is probably going to in the (near) future,
always nice to get an idea of how other people are experiencing their hobby and how they handle everything.
For some reason, the big brother concept is always interesting to people
If you're subject/article is picked, we send you a copy of the issue it is published in and/or in PDF as well.
Ofcourse we give full credits to the author, there is also room for you to name you're website for instance.
Great way to promote yourself internationaly since we print 1200 copies in English,
already shipped out to a variaty of countries, from Asia to America.
Note: We are a completely non-profit society, all profits will go towards protection and/or education.
Within these objectives, emphasis is on the rainforests of Middle and South America and Madagascar, and on the (poison dart) frogs inhabiting these regions in particular. To these ends, Dendrobatidae Nederland maintains close contacts with various national and international organisations, universities, and the IUCN, as well as providing financial support to the ProAves Amphibian Nature Reserve Ranita Dorado in Colombia, among other beneficiaries.
Hopefuly there are some frog enthusiasts who like to share something with other hobbyists.

A note from the John Clare, founder of Frogforum.net, the site you are using right now: "I would like to point out that Wesley has nothing to do with Frogforum. Frogforum, this wonderful web site you are using right now to learn about and discuss your favorite amphibians, needs articles itself. It would be a shame for people to use this wonderful site only to help a different organization by giving them an article. You don't pay a single penny for the information we offer here. Wesley's organization sells their magazine internationally. I think from an ethical standpoint that if you use Frogforum you should think about Frogforum first please."

I wrote a column for Marine Fish Monthly Magazine for four years and enjoy writing. I've also published a few articles in other publications. I mostly keep poison dart frogs. Is there a particular topic that you'd be interested in seeing. I would love to participate.

Hi there,
This is probably very late but I would love to write an article. I work as a freelance writer for a few publications and have written about African Clawed Frog care in the past![]()

Hey, I saw this offer and thought I'd throw in my lot if I could. Unfortunately I've never published anything before or really written anything besides papers for college/high school, but if this is open to anyone I'd love to participate. I want to be a novelist some day and writing an article for a magazine could really help me. I'm not sure if I have a lot to offer along the lines of technicality, but if it's an opinion piece or one about my personal experience I think I'm up to the job.
I just realized how late I am to post in this topic. XD Now I don't even know if the opportunity is still available. >< Oops.

I didn't think about this aspect at all when I read this thread, I saw that writers were wanted for an article that I thought could be open to anybody and thought it would be a great opportunity to have a chance to get my work out there. I'm sorry if supporting this article offended you, I didn't realize that Frogforum was in need of people to write articles. If there was something I felt confident enough about to write and article for this website I would, but I didn't know regular members were able to do things like that and I don't believe I have the knowledge or experience to give this site benefit anyway...If I did it would be an honor to be able to write for this site, it's amazing and wonderful and I love everything that you offer here for free. I saw "Wanted: Enthusiastic Writers" and that's what I am so I thought it might be a good opportunity.
Again I'm sorry if I've offended you, the view points you just offered in your post didn't enter my mind when I replied to this thread. If you are in need of articles and you think that I can offer something to this site that hasn't already been written on, then I would be glad to help. I was thinking about a personal experience piece, something that tells others what my own time with the hobby has been like, not something technical as I don't have much experience in that field. If you're interested in something like that for the site, I would be glad to help, but if you don't think I have the information necessary for an article then I suppose I'll have to wait until I do.

John's right we need our own articles right here on Frog Forum. Exposure of an article written on the internet is now far greater than a newspaper or magazine. If you write a thread on this forum and then google that topic...(don't even mention the name frog forum)...and your post will come up. So please write articles for us here. A personal piece would be great and fun to read. And the work would continued to be viewed for years to come. In our lifetimes newspapers and magazines will dissapear. Forum's like this will be how information is shared. An article isn't good simply because its printed in a magazine. An article is good when people talk about it, when people refer to it, when people copy and paste it and forward it to others, when its memorable, and when its inspirational. Our Most Informative Thread contest is to do this right here. Remember I left it pretty open what you could do with it. It doesn't have to be a technical piece. I would love to see a well written personal piece....from the frog's perperspective.![]()
Hello, sorry for any offence caused, I too didn't really think about the points you raised and was thinking more about writing something fun about my frog experiences rather than a very informative piece.
I'd be happy to contribute articles here![]()
