    Default Screen Tops

For anyone who uses screen tops on fish tanks with their frogs. Have you noticed any injuries sustained by the frogs when they try to be escape artists? Just curious cause lately both tree frogs are doing their best to push the top open with their tiny arms.

Those tiny arms can be pretty strong so watch out they are persistent little guys. I always recommend a locking lid. Some people have put obects on top of the screen and the frogs find a weak spot and escape or get their arms pinched. Just be careful that it is very secure. Most frogs only test their perimeters when they first get put into a tank...they will eventually calm down and give up.

my marsh frogs can seem to only climb up the corners where the silicone is and they use the pump power cord to help them up there also with there backs but never seem to get up to the top.

Dang it Cherie you totally jinxed me. I've had this tank 6 months and today was the first escape! I am so lucky I found him on my tv remote trying to watch tv! He was all covered in hair and is now taking a bath with warm water and pedialyte. His poor nose is bruised and now looks like it has a mustache.

I warned you nine hours ago. He texted me and told me about his escape plans. Glad you found him in time. Now secure that lid.
