I have a albino pacman frog and its my first one. I've done my research and maybe im just obsessing or worring too much ha, but its temp is always between 75-82 degrees, humidity is generally 75% to 80%, i feed it about two crickets a day one in the AM an on at night. It is only about an 1" 1/2. but it seems that sometimes its eyes are not necessarily glossy white but that it has more of the red eyes in the center, almost like its pupils are smaller and white around the red. Its skin color is good doesn't seem to be loosing any color and you can see it breathing. I was just wondering if anyone had any information on this and/or good advice much appriciated for any help thank you

dat is net als bij ons als er licht op de ogen schijnt worden onze pupillen kleiner alshet donker word dan worden de pupillen groter en zo werkt dat ook bij kikkers niks om je zorgen over te maken die van mij heeft dat ook
ya albino pacmans should not be housed with any uv light. it will cause them to go blind and burn their pale skin. also, get rid of the moss... they can eat it and cause impaction. cheers. the weird eyes are their pupils trying to adjust to the light...
if i dont use the frog moss what should i put in there??? just curious. And i have a incandecent light bulb up front away from where he sits(normally in the back) and a heat pad under the half of the tank...im only using the light for the day cycle it does help give off some heat...i did buy him a little artificial tree thing to give him more cover too i'll take a pic and post it...and what do you mean by impaction
impaction is when the frog swallows something it cant digest it then cant deficate frogs can die of this <thats worst case cenario though> moss is known for impacting frogs, use coco fibre or eco earth or something along thoughs lines, for shelter try a stone plant pot half sumerged in the substrate that way you can keep the air tempratures up but him out of the light,
hope this helps
cheers spencer................
ooo i gotcha ok cool well i dont want that to happen i've grown very fond of my new found friend, i will run up and get some coco fiber and clean out his tank today or tommorrow and put that in there, when i originally bought him i seen frog moss and was like o that will work lol....heres a picture of what his set up looks like tell me what you think

just got sunfred the pacman frog some eco planet coco fiber and cleaned his tank out i think he likes the stuff a lot he imediately got in and is completly burrowed hahahaha!

tank looks fine, the plant in the corner should be enough for shade for him, moss is not to much a problem if you feed from forceps but if your leaving food items in there you made the right choice by removing it, dont forget to mist the tank the coco fibre does not hold the moisture as well as the moss,
cheers spencer.................
okay i will move the heat pad to the side right away ty very much for telling me! i def dont want him to die ty ty ty ty
what sucks though is its so hard to keep the temp up i have a 10-20 gallon heat pad but im thinkin maybe i should upgrade it cuz his temp is always fluxuating between 70-78ish and im thinkin thats too low but his humidity is always up at 80% give or take
the heat pad wise... I have mine on the bottom and my frogs are fine...
ya im thinkin about gettin maybe a little bit bigger one if it doesn't go up....he's in our front room away from windows and stuff but sometimes we'll crack the slider door of our apartment to air out the house...that maybe why it doesn't always stay heated cuz of the cool air...im movin to a new apt sat and he will be in my bed room so if it doesn't heat up more in a warm bed room then im thinkin a bigger heat pad what do you think
a therostat huh, dont know if i know what that is 100% i'll look it up...but im assuming it cant be too cold if he burrows all the time and if thats their way of escaping heat right
They are ground dwelling frogs, for them to stay burrow is normal as long as your heating and humidity is within the range. If they get too hot, they will come out from their burrow and sometimes sit in their water dish. So keeping your water dish clean is very very important since that is their only source of water intake.
Ya i change his water bowl everyday he ate two crickets yesterday but none today im just assumim maybe he got stressed when i had to un bury him lol i feel bad when he gets all worked up haha
I dug mine up for feeding too, so urs should be ok...
