Do to it's location, I would confidently say it isn't red leg. Usually that occurs on the dorsal aspect of the hind legs. Also due to the small size a physical wound from either a plant or rock in the aquarium could very well be the culprit. Keep an eye on it and if it doesn't start to heal within the next 24 hours I would highly recommend bringing him to a Veterinarian. X. laevis have remarkable and lighting fast healing abilities, so if it doesn't heal quickly then there maybe something more serious.

I was worried it may be red leg but im glad thats not the case! like i said before this has happened before, but when it happened first time i did not have those plants in the tank. She did escape the tank a few nights ago so if they are just a normal wound, maybe she hurt herself while hopping round my room and i havent noticed it til now or the wound hasnt come up til now. I will keep a close eye on her!
