    Default Levels within a VIvarium

I'm building a new viv and have a question on dart frog behavior. Will they climb or crawl up to different levels? I would like to have a stream flowing down a incline with moss covering both sides and the slope. There would be different levels of flat areas with more moss and plants. How steep can the slope be?
    1.2.0 Dendrobates tinctorius 'Azureus'
    1.1.0 Dendrobates Lamasi 'Orange'
    1.1.0 Dendrobates Ventrimaculatus 'Understory Line'
    0.3.0 Dendrobates leucomelas

As always your mileage may vary!
I may or may not know what I'm talking about!

Here's one I can actually answer! Some darts are often arboreal (think thumbnails), and some will prefer ground levels.

So basically, D. tinctorius, D. auratus, D. leucomelas, P. terribilis will thrive on land (even if they can climb), therefore more horizontal terrariums and thumbnails, or if you get out of darts, mantellas, will be happy climbing, so better for vertical terrariums.

When I contacted UE, they suggested slopes, but nothing steep, something they could basically walk up.

Thanks for the fast reply. I'll go with a sloping or terraced type effect and allow for plenty of walking. This is going to be the last Zoo Med 18x18x24 for a while. In the future I will look at doing the 10, 20 ect with the front kits and no water features.

I feel the same. John takes regular aquariums and invert them for the more arboreal type: http://www.frogforum.net/vivarium-te...struction.html

I'm very happy with my vents, but beside the azureus I'm getting this Summer, I know my next ones will be more terrestrial than arboreal.
