Hello I´m a new poster here. I found this guy in my yard (in Colombia) the other day. I am thinking it is Pristimantis palmeri which according to one guide is common in my area. However the image in my guide shows a few dorsal blotches which the frog in my photo doesn´t have. I have also seen some "google images" showing a distinct white line down the the middle of the back which my animal doesn´t have either. Or is it a different Pristimantis? The guide for my area shows seven species.

great shot, and welcome. I am not familiar with these frogs at all but I must say
they are incredible looking. I love the eyes. alot of tree frogs can be variable in pattern so the blotches arent the best indication. maby try comparing the eyes or the underbelly since they both seem to be unique looking.
Hi, Pristimantis species are normally very hard to identify because many vary in coloration and are still the same species, also many look alike. Try searching in Amphibiaweb.org.
Maybe someone in here might help you to identify it.
