Do female pyxies make noise?

While I was moving around some plastic plants in my pyxies cage, I disturbed his/her burrow and he/she started to puff up and make noises. Sounded kind of like a duck. Anyone have this happen?

They don't call but they can force air in and out which can make a vague noise. Sounds like that's what you're hearing.
