So .. I was looking on this site at the different frogs.. and I'm apparently not getting just some random frog.. I'm getting a Pacific Chorus Frog.. Pretty cool.. I only thought they were called Pacific Treefrog.
Hi everyone! I'm a very big newbie and I'm currently setting up a 29g vivarium for some frogs (obviously)
But I'm not buying any special frog from the store, I'm just going out and getting some tadpoles from the lake.. Hehe
p.s I've looked up the laws where I live and there is only one frog that is against the law to capture, so I'm going to avoid that one!

Hi there, Welcome to the forum
Pacific Chorus Frogs are lovely. Check out the care Article to the left of your screen if you haven't already?![]()
Welcome to the forum. Its great to have you here.
Hello and welcome from a fellow newcomer! I had a tree frog that I'd caught years ago, don't know what kind but he was awesome. Good luck with yours!
Thanks! It's a bumblebee walking toad, just got it about five days ago. It's still nameless at the moment.
Welcome-Im fairly new myself to the forum... And to frog keeping also![]()
Hello fellow Canadian. Welcome to Frog Forum. And yeah, bumble bee walking toads rock. Not that I am biased.![]()

Thank you everyone! ..
Can anyone tell me when the pacific chorus frog lays its eggs?
I looked on here, but I don't think that they lay them in January where I live, cause its still snowing then! Haha.
And also, if I found some eggs and hatched them and let them grow to adults.. Would they breed? Or are they considered siblings?
Should I wait until they are tiny frogs to get some? So they aren't from the same egg sack?
Welcome aboard.
welcome![]()
Thanks again! I would still love to know if the Pacific chorus frog would breed if I only got eggs.
I don't know there breeding habits in canada, but I've observed quite a bit of breeding sites here in california. Might want to post these questions in the treefrog forum. They may not be called treefrogs anymore but they are in the Hylidae family..still. lol
