Just a quick question: Can you overfeed babies? I know White's are known for their appetites and I heard you should feed babies as much as they'll eat so as they get all their vitamins.

I went to feed him this evening and accidently shook in a whole bunch more crickets than I wanted to, it may have been more than ten. >< These crickets are babies, very small, and he went after every single one like it was no tomorrow. I'm just worried he may have eaten too many...Do you guys think this is ok? I don't want to overfeed him and risk obesity as I know the health risks (Mr. Campbell is still too fat to climb...>>) and I'll try to avoid this in the future, but does everyone think he'll be ok for now? I'll try to give him less crickets tomorrow night...>>

Thanks for any insight you guys may have,
    Brit

Well, you know me, I'm not the best expert on this, but I can tell you from a little experience... feed those little guys as much as they'll eat... and then some more.. haha..

Haha alright thanks, I was a little worried. This morning his belly looks so full. >< I'll try not to OVERfeed him, but I was worried something bad may come from this one feeding. I do see a little poop in there so no impaction, I was just letting my over active imagination get the better of me. XD I think I will give him a rest tonight though, I don't know how well he can hunt with a belly so full. >>

The White's belly is soooo misleading, one minute I swear I have a sick frog the next it is up and about and looking tiny. I do wish my baby white's ate as much as yours though. Eats? yes but it is such a chicken the conditions have to be perfectly right and then she needs to stalk the cricket in one place.

Awe yeah, I'm sorry you got a White's on the other end of the stick. But I think it's differences like that that make White's so interesting and unique. O:

Thanks Kel! (It's ok if I call you that, right?) I really did want a blue one, my mind is still blown at my own luck. >< And I love his random white markings, I hadn't ever seen a White's with that before until spankyg mentioned it and showed me pictures of his Aussies. ^ ^

Sure you can call me Kel... wouldn't have put it up if I didn't want it used ... I love the whites with the spotting. I think it's so cool. Hopefully if/when we get one it'll have spots too

Yeah the IF likely should be removed... but I did see an awesome white lipped tree frog on kingsnake today that really caught my eye and can't beat the price. Nope no prob using my real name either one works for me.
