Question Need help IDing a morfing tadpole

Just before Christmas we bought a tadpole from meijer, they recived him by accident so could not tell me what kind of frog he will turn into. Here we are almost 2 months later and he started morphing about 2 weeks ago he started growing back legs, then this morning my husband notices he is getting front legs, I just checked yesterday morning and he had no front legs from what I could tell. Can anyone help me figure out what kind of frog this is, from what I have read you can drown a tadpole if it is not a water frog. We have him in our gold fish tank and I need know if I need to get him his own tank if he needs to get up out of the water. He is about 2 inches long, green with dark spots on his body including the top and bottom of his tale and light colored belly. I have been taking pictures at every step/ attached below Is he a water frog or a land frog?? thanks for any help I can get. My avatar and profile pictures are him also

Hi, I can't tell what kind of frog it is (Sorry I only know about Costa Rican frogs)

You might need to get other tank for the tadpole so it wont get drown when it becomes a froglet. I have raised several tadpoles so I spent some money making the tank. I created a slope that goes from the water to the land. But as is only one tadpole, you can fill a small tank with water (tadpole safe water, dechlorinated, no heavy metals...) and place a round sterilized stone inside it, so the upper part of the stone is out of the water, that has worked very well for me.

REMEMBER TO PUT A LID ON THE TANK

Does the water in the tank need to be filtered or can I use one of the shoebox size plastic tanks wit a lid and put a rock in it?? I ask this because I already have one of these tanks, that is empty right now. and the closest store is 50miles away. and I am not sure I can get there this week. thanks for the info

yes you will have to have a tank . Because the tadpole still needs its water yet if it wants it still need to be able to get out of the water and reach land some how . General rule , if the frog has fronts give it land , it will want to use the fronts

I know I need a tank but does the water need to be filtered, and can it just have a few inches of water. I have a plastic atnk that is 4 inches deep by 12 inches long and 8 inces wide will this work?

I would think so. I personally would go with something a little bit deeper , depth and length are good. Doesnt need to be filtered just clean the water everyday because it might get dirty . Also make sure the water is de clor before having the water touch the tadpole .

We got him in a smaller tank with some rocks for him to climb out on. and found him up on top of the filter tube (it is sealed) when we opened the aquarium up to get him out. So I guess he isn'ta water frog after all. What should I be feeding him at this point?? Here are a couple closed pics I got of him in his new home.
