If John or Kurt don't want to do it, we can do it starting with members. This is about showing the community and putting the spotlight on what makes us different: our members.

So, you're interested, let me know. We'll go forward!

I'm totally game, as I have no shame when it comes to be the center of attention. I'll be in the first ones for sure. But I'd like the get the ball rolling with someone else from the board first.

haha, I knew you would lol

I think people are reluctant to try this because ‘forums’ (in my opinion), build off your alter ego (the frog lover within lol). Without that sense of anonymity it can change others perception of you.
Facebook is a place where most of your friends already know you physically and call you by name; maybe it isn’t something all people want to share after already creating this avatar of themselves, (people might think they won’t meet others expectations, etc.)

I realize there are people that are almost unaffected by this notion, but we should take into account that we don’t all psychologically function in the same way. For me, releasing information about myself within a forum can seem a bit daunting, (although I understand it’s an issue gaining less significance as we continue to shift more into the digital world).
I’m still really interested to see this idea come into fruition, but I understand why people are hesitant…
If you are one of these people, I say jump in, break that barrier!
Most people here really don’t care what you look like or how strange you are lol, just do it.

    peace

    (my attempt at motivation lol)
