Oh yeah I totally forgot about Frog Day! That would be so much fun I wish I could go, but I don't have the money for a plane ticket for me and a friend to go unfortunately, or I'd be there! I've never been to New York, but I think it's something every Californian dreams of. XD Thanks for the offer Cheri but I don't think I can afford it.![]()

Remember everyone its not about who has the most awesome tank. Everyone who has put in the effort to show us what they are doing will have an equal chance of winning. If you want to increase you chances of being selected post another build or a project you're working on. Remember it doesn't have to be finished so its not too late to start. Show us your design, your layout, the materials you're going to use, if you're going to have a water feature and how you plan on doing that. What type of background, substrate, plants, everything. Come on guys its a chance to win a misting system. Doesn't everyone need one of those. Also it doesn't have to be about a tank build. It could be a discussion about different plants you could use in a viv. Im horrible with plant names so I would love to see a thread like that with photos. Or how about a simple thread on building a waterfall or drip wall. So that a new member doing it for the first time can figure it out. Or give a detailed thread about making a clay background. Or something like my moss study but on Brom care. I seem to love to kill those guys...oops. Really the ideas are endless. The article just has to be informative and have pictures or a video.
More than one..... nice......... there goes going to work today, or tomorrow, or even Monday for that matter :-)
Heres the second one I posted.
http://www.frogforum.net/vivarium-te...viv-build.html
1.0.0 Red Eyed Leaf/ Frog - Agalychnis callidryas
1.1.1 Bumblebee Dart Frog - Dendrobates leucomelas
1.1.0 Dendrobates truncatus - Yellow Striped
1.1.1 Dendrobates tinctorius – Bakhuis Mountain
1.1.0 - Dendrobates tinctorius - Powder Blue
1.1.0 - Ranitomeya vanzolinii
Thanks Don. Your threads are always informative and you definately inspire and get people thinking about different ways to do things. Sharing ideas and getting people involved was my number one goal for this contest. So please build and post as many as you are willing to do. Its only fair the more involved you are here on the forum with posting great threads the better your chances of winning.
i have just made a new thread about the terrarium that i am building and wish to join with that thread in the contest!
url: http://www.frogforum.net/vivarium-te...html#post53226
some photo's are added! but i actually dont have much foto's from the build...![]()
do we not have a photography tips and tricks thread?
Not that I've seen, and something like that would be really helpful for those members who like to take lots of pictures (cough cough...>>). It would be cool to see something like that and I think it would be perfect for this contest, as long as it had a step by step process and was informative, as the name suggests. Someone should do one!![]()

I went and checked out some of the old threads I started and was wondering if any of them would be ok for submission? Each entrant can post more than one thread...right? Please correct my if I'm mistaken, I don't want to seem unfair. D:
Here are the links:
http://www.frogforum.net/tree-frogs/...ny-really.html
http://www.frogforum.net/tree-frogs/...minor-now.html
http://www.frogforum.net/tree-frogs/...omopterna.html
I know these are kind of...well, it's not a step by step, but I do feel they're informative.
The first one has to do with tank size and how many frogs can really fit in one tank, though I do think this should be common knowledge, people might be able to benefit from hearing what others have to say, such as Ginger's comment about frog inches/gallon.
The second thread, again is not step by step, but it has to do with frogs that are exhibiting strange behavior (i.e. trying to escape) and maybe the reasons and how to deal with a problem like this.
The third thread is just an intro to some Phyllomedusa Tomopterna I received recently and while it is very loosely "step by step", not many members I've seen have this particular frog and may benefit from the information and pictures I have posted there. This could also be seen as a companion to the build I posted because these are the frogs that went into the viv and seem to be doing well with that set up.
Do any of these submissions work Cheri? Thanks for looking/considering them, I just wanted to post things that I thought others could benefit from knowledge wise and wanted to liven up the contest with a few submissions that don't necessarily have to do with viv builds. Give it more variety, if you will.

Well I'll try to take some shots today to help illustrate, but I'll need help from everybody else because I'm not that experienced. I was going to wait to start when I had frogs to take pictures of, but that won't be till this contest has ended, so maybe I'll just replace the pics with frog ones when I have them available.
