Removable water feature,

Hello all!
who would have thought at 44 i would become a fan of whites tree frogs! lol
I am the proud new owner of 4 beauties! im having a house redesign issue...i had a plain water/bath dish as well as a rock fountain feature. I couldn't figure how i had so much water in the enclosure in the am...a faulty leak in the rock feature?? lol, no.the frogs were laying in the basin blocking the return and flooding their enclosure! lmao it was actually kinda silly!...so next design thought... I used a top fin filter from an old fish tank...placed it in a pretty glass dish with rocks ...enough room for the filter and enough room for all to take a dip....it was ok...im on the right track..but not perfect yet..i don't want false bottom...and don't care to use silicone dividers....so how , along the lines of my crazy thinking...can i use this filter...(have to have clean water) but it must be removable...has to be easy to clean.. do i make this happen?? its zoo easy..its right there...I have looked at hundreds of enclosures....wow some of you are way to creative.... it must be so simple....i just cant get what i want...so thought please!

Hi Laura, I'm not an expert on water features and have had my mistakes in building them. I'm sure someone will come up with a cool idea to help.

I understand your attachment to the whites since I have 4 too.
Its bad enough that I had to go to the pet store before work this morning and find a way to help one that we see is missing his ability to get above the old light fixture and sleep. (they moved last weekend into a new enclosure) He was looking so sad :-(

Hope his new cork round is high enough for him to feel more at home.

What if you did something like the filter system from this pic in a lower sided tank/dish/Bowl?

I was thinking along the same lines I think?.?.. I want to do a drip wall/ waterfall with no access for the frogs to lay in. But I was going extreme and have a hidden return that mine can't enter. More of a fountain. Although Dons idea was great too. Hmmm interesting thread!! Anymore ideas from any1?

Thanks all...well, I really wanted something very simple in terms of maintaining...but, Just tried to put something together that was more natural for them...this was my result...so far ,)..so far so good...they all seem to like all the room to soak...and are enjoying their new home.

Wow, that looks great. Wana give me a run down of what u did? How's your water testing? What kind of filter did u end up using?

lol...ok...couldn't leave well enough alone...went bigger...again..lol my water feature(filter) is tetra fauna..double filtration system...the "fish" tank was not built for humidity control...thanks to a power drill...ventilation has been added to the lid....they really seem to like this set up <iframe title="YouTube video player" width="640" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/ZvU0nYoE9vk" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
