    Cool White's

Hi there, my name is Dan and my wife and I, Amy, have just became the proud "parents" of 4 White's lumpies. 2 are small, 1/2 -2" and the others are larger, 3-4". We have them in a 75 gallon aquarium that is separated in the middle so the large ones won't have a snack. We just got the larger ones two days ago and they dug in and have moved very little since. They are active when you pick them up but go straight to digging in once we put them in the habitat. Is this ok? The humidity and temp are fine, 77.5 and 60 respectively. Thanks.

Some whites just freik out, you could cover their side of viv for a month or so until they get used to you and noises of house. It's frustating when you get an animal that's ithor wild caught or spent is life at a pet store. It's probably fine to bury, usually they do it to gain moisture. Make sure u have adequte hides for fearful frogs. The concern I have is if u didn't quarintine your new frogs. This may expose your litlle ones. They say they can't even be in the same room. But if so, the exposure is there already, just keep an eye out. Usually parisites, sometimes disease. Welcome to forum. Keep in touch, post Picts.

HI and welcome. 60 degrees or 60 percent humidity is my question?

Since they are new to the new home it is very common for them to hide for a while.... days to weeks. I would read the care sheets and try to keep temps in the day near 78 - 80 and then near 68 - 70 at night.

Is there places to feel hidden up high in the tank?
They love places to climb up high and be able to sleep all day somewhere hidden up high.

My guess is they will come around once they feel secure with you and their new home. Just offer food routinely, keep fresh treated water available daily, and allow them time to acclimate to the new environment.

Pics are always welcome and sometimes it helps in evaluating conditions with the frogs and the surroundings they are living in.

They have come around and are now getting very active. We have the small and large separated still but they are sneaking over to each others side.

Don was right about the temp, it needs to be up in the high seventies or low eighties for the frogs to be comfortable and function properly. White's can tolerate high or low levels of humidity as long as they have fresh water daily, but the percentage should be anywhere between 45% and 75%, it's ok to go a little higher or lower, but can be dangerous if messed about too much.

Other than that, welcome to the forum. I hope you and your frogs have many happy days to come. ^ ^
