Wood frogs are more terrestrial than green frogs or bull frogs.

Yeah, you care for a wood frog very much like you would for a toad rather than a Ranid like a bull or green frog.

There are alot of green frogs up where I live...I did have a couple survive being fed to my Cane toads for sometime. They love the water, they were always in the toads bath. I wouldnt mind keeping a few Rana species myself...we have Northern Leopard's, Wood, Green and the Bullfrog up here.

You know whats a cool looking Ranid? Hylarana (Rana) erythraea, Asian green-backed frog. Real pretty. I saw some on Kingsnake for $4.50. Almost tempted.

Did you catch wild frogs to feed to your cane toad?

I did for alittle bit until I found out the toad could get some diseases from the wild frogs. Besides it is alot easier to buy hornworms etc than chase around frogs especially Rana species lol

As if cane toads haven't done enough damage to other amphibians, even as captives they're still depleting the world's amphibians...

I'm glad you switched to worms.
