I have seen several instances of certain species of frogs flipping over on their back. I worked as an amphibian keeper at a local zoo and experienced this activity for the first time. I asked some of the staff why frogs did this. No one at the zoo was able to give me an explanation. I did find out that amphibians will flip over if they are in danger, either real or perceived. As long as the frog is eating well and doesn't have any signs of disease, I wouldn't be too concerned. BTW, the flipping frogs at the zoo eventually stopped after they were settled in their cages.
