    Default Lights:::Red Black or none

    I would like to get an idea of what u all are doing for night lights. As title states, red, black, or none. I tried black light, and I can't see, tried red, frogs seem irritated, now going none. I have WTF, been going brown, with no light they are super green. Wow, I hope it sticks!!!! Any story u can share might help newbies, like me. I was doing it fir heat, and viewing, but... I think I'm going to none

    I use the reptiglow moonlight for mine.. One is a nice green, but sometimes they both turn brown though. One has been brown the past couple of days. I need some sort of bulb for heat though. They seem to like the moonlight one, but I know what you mean with not being able to see. I was tryng to find an obnoxious cricket last night because it was keeping me up at 4am and failed. I'd say as long as you don't have to rely on it for heat it would be okay. Color seems to depend on a lot of things, but mine do get brighter in the sun light. But if you want to view them wouldn't no light be worse? At least they would have some heat there with a moonlight. I'd just make sure the temp is okay is all.

    I use a couple of blue LED lights. They produce just enough light to see by but not enough to disturb the frogs. I only have it on while I am watching them.

    I don't use the night / moonlights anymore.
    I found a lot of my treefrogs to stay asleep while those lights stayed on.
    Some species seem to have less of a problem with them, but I decided to stop using them at all.
    After all, its only for our own benefit.
