Hi Chris, cool name.
Unfortunately i've never seen any here for sale and on the sights that do sell them say they don't post to NZ. It may be too long a trip for them. What do you think?
I know you can't get them from Australia anymore, but what about the Indonesian variety? I'm thinking that Jade may be from there as I believe she is a wild caught.
I really don't know the rules here on this but may be I should look into it.I always just assumed it couldn't happen.
Aren't there populations of introduced White's Treefrogs in NZ? I believe I read that somewhere.

I don't know. It pays not to assume. I can't believe this may actually be possible and even within NZ. Im definitely going to find out. WowThanks guys
So I was walking past Jade's tank and she was not in her usual spot on a branch, she was on the bottom. I stopped and looked at her and she saw me and immediately started digging at the paper towels like she was trying to get thru the glass. After a little bit it was apparent she really wanted out! So I took her out of her home let her sit with me. Since she has been out she's been incredibly interested in everything in the room. She's been walking around leaping looking around the room, jumping back to me, looking around again... not what I would consider typical frog behaviour. Dumper has done stuff like this before but not so intense as this.
I'm glad to hear Jade is doing so well, Chris. She is incredibly lucky to have found a home with you. Are you eventually going to put Jade and Dumper together or keep them separate?
She's nice and plump now so I can begin feeding her every other day. she's been eating about 4 crickets a day for the last 3 weeks but now I will put her on the same diet as dumper is on... 2 crickets every other day.
I noticed something the other day and tried to get a picture of it.... do female white's ever get saggy throats? (see picture) her throat was a little wrinkly before I took the picture, but she changed positions before I snapped it.
Also I briefy put the two together for a size/color comparison and to see how they react to each other. She's actually only a little more than a half inch larger than Dumper so size wise, would they be ok together? I have yet to get her to the vet, but I am hoping to soon... she seems healthy though. When the two were together, Jade seemed a little nervous around Dumper and backed away from him.
My female Gray has a saggy throat so I imagine that's alright. As for keeping them together, they will be fine, just make sure one doesn't hog all the food.
