What's a suitable relative humidity for a Pacific Chorus Frog?
I live in an extremely dry climate; our rel. humidity can be below 10%.
In her old viv, my frog Linus had humidities between 30 adn 70 %, depending on how long since I misted.
Her new exoterra is moister, because it's more enclosed; humidity usually between 60 and 85%.
Is that ok for her?
Yes, that is a fine humidity for her. I keep mine even lower, and they function well. These are tough little guys and come from a variety of locations, so they adapt well to various conditions. Glad to hear little Linus is doing so good!!![]()
I have 7, take that back 5 PCF and I mist them a bit every couple of days. My frogs like to be dry I notice. They have layed eggs and the males croak at night in my tank. They do fairly well in low humidity, just mist them every so often. Keep the bottom of your tank semi moist with logs or vegitation they can hide and bury themselves into....that should be enough. BTW, they love crickets :-)
