    Default Territorial whites

Well I've noticed my bigger WTF being territorial over both water bowls. I thaught she just liked the smaller warner bowl, but saw her guarding both them last night. Is there a reason, should I re-organize cage with plant blinds and all that ? I didn't think they were agro frogs, is this unusual?

Whites aren't usually aggresive toward each other. But it doesn't mean a smaller frog couldn't be intimidated by a larger frog. I have a very large female red eye and when she comes down to the water bowl the other smaller frogs slowly leave. She's not doing anything to push them away but they do leave. I have a large shallow water pond on one side of the tank and a separate water bowl for her on the other side. Its blocked by plants so she never sees them. If your in a tighter space just put a large bush between the two water bowls and the larger frog will never know the other frog is there.

well thanks, couldve made it into 2 living areas, but thaught this would escalate situation, she would know her little bowl would be missing and to look fir it. There was only 1 other post that was similar and he just kept throwing them together. I put a large split leaf where she can't be looking at both bowls, I've made him highways and hides to get to bowl. 2 plants blocking one bowl from the other. This tactic didn't work, nothing like banging heads with a frog!! LOL she probably can still stand guard on her marble ball, like usual, but he realy is master of stealth, but she's always looking for him. Not in the good way. She's only 1/2 " bigger so I don't worry too much. They sleep together kind of.

Mine like to crowd into the water bowls. Its crazy. I tough exactly as you but it doesn't matter, they all try to squeeze into the smallest bowl.

See below :-) .......... Sometimes three force themselves into it.

I think that's great. So should I take one bowl away, make them share ? I think the long stay at Petco did her some psychological damage......like she had to fight for her water. I thaught maybe she was being weird, like pregnant weird. But they have 33 gal space, I don't get it. They sit within inches of eachother at lights out, while shes on her perch, he diesnt get to his water till she goes to bed like 4 am. But now the big bowl is blocked on 3 sides, counting the glass frount, I'll stay up late to see how it goes. thanks every1
