    Default Pacman Care Help. :)

Hey everyone!I have been into the reptile hobby for quite a few years now and have decided to jump into amphibians! I have a baby fantasy Pacman Frog on hold that I am picking up tomorrow and just wanna double check I have everything I need

Right now I have the choice to use 12x12x12 Exo Terra terrarium or a shoebox sice sterilite tub, not sure which one would be best. I then Have bigger tubs and terrariums to switch to later. I have found the tubs better for my cresteds and leopards nbut not sure about the Pacmans.

I also went and bought some Eco Earth and a water dish. Is this all that is needed for these guys? I feel like im missing soemthing else lol. Also I have read a heat pad on one side of the tank is reccommended but I have a couple friends that have had nothing but success with no added heat source? Any advice would be greatly appreciated

    Thanks in advance.

Although some people do succeed without supplemental heat, I would recommend daytime temperatures in the mid 80s and nighttime temperatures no lower than 70F. Other than that, I think you're good to go. I found that very moist paper towels as substrate were useful for the first few months - you avoid accidental ingestion of the substrate and its easily changed every second day or so, depending on conditions.

same here my young pacs and pixies go on damp kitchen roll that way its easy to see when they have soiled and no worrys of ingestion and they dont need alot of space more so the small ones when they are bulked up abit put them in a more scenic enclosure,

    cheers spencer............
